We are seeking a versatile Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, offering a fantastic opportunity for growth, and learning in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be a multifaceted individual eager to engage in a broad range of financial activities and work closely with a dedicated manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage both direct and agency billing processes.
- Handle receipting for all types of billing.
- Perform necessary reconciliations.
- Conduct detailed reviews of historical transactions on client accounts to verify current billing accuracy.
- Support the Accounting Manager in maintaining and improving internal controls over accounting functions to reduce risk.
- Oversee and document accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with processing cash receipts and client financing.
- Contribute to accounts receivable and payable tasks as required.
- Ensure accuracy in processing client financing forms alongside Account Executives.
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
- Background in accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in accounting within the Insurance Agency/Broker sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Applied TAM or EPIC is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Alternatively, at least five years of relevant accounting experience in the Broker/Agency Insurance industry.
