Senior Accountant

Position Overview:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance department, overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to support strategic decision-making and maintain financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Month end/quarter end journal entries
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with GAAP. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Document and assess internal control, including risk assessment.
• Sales & Use Tax Reporting and Filing
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and best practice.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting position.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
• Experience with financial reporting.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Initiate and maintain good organization of records and information.
• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
