POSITION SUMMARY:
Support day-to-day accounting transactions by performing the technical accounting duties including regulatory reporting, general ledger reconciliation, instrument accounting & reporting, and wire transfers. Assist with researching accounting treatment, maintenance of department software programs; and assist finance management with projects and other responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
General Accounting: 70%
- Perform regulatory reporting.
- Analyze financial information to ensure the data supports budgeting and forecasting requirements.
- Review internal controls and provide solutions for additional risk mitigation.
- Monitor, research and provide solutions on accounting discrepancies.
- Support month-end, year-end processes by performing account analysis to ensure entries and balances are correct.
- Support financial management.
- Take charge in absence of detailed instruction.
- Prepare journal entries relating to amortization, depreciation, accruals, and a variety of other information. These entries should align with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Establish and maintain complete files and records related to assigned functions.
- Perform various accounting reconciliation and control functions, resolving and correcting problems.
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies and research differences.
Wire Transfer: 20%
- Review and analyze all outgoing wire transfers for risk factors and regulatory requirements in a time sensitive environment.
- Broad knowledge of international country requirements for successful foreign wire transfers.
- Initiate currency exchange for international wires where appropriate.
- Research and resolve all unsuccessful wire transfers.
- Review incoming wires for risk factors and memo post to customer accounts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of wire transfers.
- Prepare daily reconciliations of wire transfer system (both incoming and outgoing) to general ledger and to the Federal Reserve.
Non-Essential Functions: 10%
- Perform special projects and research as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Indoor office work environment with a majority of time sitting at a desk.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge typically gained through a minimum of three years public accounting experience to include partial financial statement preparation, audit preparation and various type of tax returns.
Compensation: The hiring range for this position is $71,837 to $89,796 on an annual salary basis depending on candidate's level of qualification including applicable experience, education and skills.
