Summary of Position:
The Senior Accountant role will report to the Accounting Manager and will help drive month end close and implement process change within the accounting team. Primary responsibilities will include analysis of accrual accounts, reserve for uncollectible receivables, wholesales sales dilution, DTC returns reserves, accounting for payroll and benefits, and long-term debt. Other responsibilities involve process and system improvements, management reporting and analysis, and supporting other functions within the accounting team as well as the broader organization.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Lead in month-end closes by preparing accruals, preparing journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts (reserve for uncollectible receivables, wholesales sales dilution, DTC returns reserves, accounting for payroll and benefits, and long-term debt)
- Collaborate with FP&A to perform analysis of month end accruals incorporating trends and budget/forecast as well as discussions with business leaders
- Develop and implement process improvements, document desktop procedures and processes to achieve efficiencies
- Support external audit requirements
- Provide support and documentation for audits
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarter financial statements
- Assist management in completing special projects and analyses on an ad-hoc basis

Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance required
- 4+ years of related professional experience
- Consumer products or manufacturing industry experience is preferred, but not required
- CPA and or public accounting experience preferred
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Additional Information:
FORMA Brands takes a market-based approach to pay, and amounts will vary depending on your geographic location. The salary range reflected here is for positions based in the Greater Los Angeles area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future without notice.
Compensation Range: $75,609 - $114,925
