Description of Role: The accountant will report directly to the Head of Corporate Finance and play a vital role in overseeing the company’s accounting functions, encompassing day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting functions, including daily operations (AP, AR, journal entries, and reconciliations).
- Manage company books and engagement with third-party accountants.
- Coordinate monthly closing duties with third-party accountants.
- Prepare quarterly/annual unaudited financial statements with third-party accountants.
- Process weekly employee expense reimbursements.
- Conduct monthly credit card reconciliations.
- Support Asset Management/Finance Team in timely purchase order and invoice issuance.
- Prepare annual 1099 forms.
- Collect wire/ACH authorization forms and voided checks from vendors promptly.
- Monitor and process payments for all contracts in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- BA degree in accounting or similar preferred
- Ideally 5 years of professional accounting experience
- Knowledge of infrastructure, power, or renewable markets a plus
- Tax paying invoices or payroll systems development a plus
- Excellent understanding of GAAP financial accounting required
- Strong understanding of month end and year end processes required
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 per year
