Job Description
Responsible for the general accounting function, including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the Accounting Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, team-based environment, with extreme attention to detail, each trait necessary to reach common objectives with aggressive schedules and possess 7-10 years of accounting experience in a capital erquipment manufacturing environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Check and verify source documents, such as invoices, receipts, and database entries
Allocate and post financial transaction details from subsidiary books to General Ledger
Reconcile and balance all accounts Daily reconciliation and reporting of cash balances
Collate and analyze account data and generate financial reports
Track and maintain inventory records
Maintain internal control systems
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Prepare checks, payments, and bank deposits
- Monitor and resolve bank issues, including fee anomalies and check differences
Prepare and process payroll
Comply with relevant reporting requirements
Review and process expense reports
Calculate and prepare tax payments
Prepare tax computations and maintain tax payment schedule
Assist with budget preparation
Assist with audits
Maintain complete filing system to support financial records

Qualifications
BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
5 to 10 years' experience in accounting
MS Office and knowledge of accounting software
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements Key Competencies

Other Skills & Abilities: PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of ERP Database type software and Excel is preferred.
