The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with advanced accounting functions, including reporting financial operations of OrthoIllinois and affiliates.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded
• Prepares and reviews journal entries, reports, and account balance reconciliations
• Completes bank reconciliations
• Compiles and distributes reporting packages
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations
• Performs fixed asset reporting
• Assists with year-end audits, compilations, and tax return preparation and review
• Assists in the preparation of annual budget.
• Assists the Director of Finance in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers, executives, and stakeholders
• Analyzes financial information and summarizes financial drivers
• Performs variance analysis and makes recommendations based on analysis
• Partners with assigned department leaders to support reporting and understanding of their financials

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field from an accredited college or university, required
• CPA preferred
• Minimum five years previous Accounting or Finance experience required
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites

Working environment is in an office/clinic setting.
