About the role:
CLA is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice supporting our Real Estate industry in Utah.
As a Senior Accountant you will:
* Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Oversee Staff and manage the accounting function for smaller clients.
* Complete account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals).
* Complete complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.).
* Prepare, understand and review financial reports (basic to complex).
* Perform the review of clients' General Ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc.
* Learn and understand the business/organization operations of the client.
* Create process and procedure documentation.
* Assist in Special Projects, such as internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consulting projects.
What you will need:
* Two to three years of relative work experience as Staff Accountant or equivalent.
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field OR Associates degree in Accounting or related field plus 5 years of accounting experience OR Associates in unrelated field plus Accounting Certificate plus 5 years of accounting experience.
* Technical knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Intacct, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify) and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
* Public Accounting experience preferred.
* CPA certification preferred but not required.
