Senior Accountant | Onsite - Northbrook | $90k - $100k
Main Responsibilities:
- Accurate Recording: Ensure precise recording of business transactions and timely reconciliation.
- Financial Closing: Actively contribute to the periodic financial closing process, including financial statement analysis.
- Collaboration: Collaborate to establish accounting and financial standards, engaging with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries to record business transactions accurately and on time.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts, investigating and resolving variances.
- Assist in month/quarter/annual closings and the preparation of financial reporting packages.
- Perform variance analysis for monthly financial statement fluctuations.
- Expertly handle entries and reconciliations for Prepaids, Fixed Assets, and Loan Interest.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare workpapers and documentation for the annual external audit process.
- Contribute to the development of accounting and financial standards.
- Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support other ad-hoc projects as required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
