Senior Accountant

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the production of internal financial statements in a timely fashion, monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, investigation and resolution of problems detected through the reconciliation process, and the preparation of journal entries following established accounting policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications:
Education:

• BS Accounting
• CPA and/or MBA preferred

Experience:

• 4-7 years experience in an Accounting position.
• 2+ years as a Staff Accountant
• Experience in non-profit organizations and healthcare is preferred

Skills Related:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply in daily work
• Working knowledge of automated accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred)
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to meet deadlines and schedules
• Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
• Team player with strong growth mindset

Job Duties:

• Reconciles balances of assigned accounts each month to appropriate supporting detail, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepares and enters journal entries
• Produces internal financial statements and provides variance analysis
• Assists with budget preparation
• Assists with providing schedules and documentation for audits
