Job Summary:
As a Senior Accountant with Boccard, you will actively contribute to our ‘On Time, On Spec & on budget” monthly closing process reporting for our major business units in the US and Canada.
In addition, this position will assist with preparing our annual financial statements and submitting documents to our external auditors.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
- Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards, with special focuses on.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper classification and recording of various transactions including review of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as necessary.
- Support month and year end close process for reporting and preparation for annual financial audit.
- Ensure financial reporting requirements are met and all accounting and reporting activities are performed in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition and lease standards.
- Prepare adjusting journal entries, as needed.
- Assist with annual external audit by gathering requested documents.
- Correct any errors when discovered in preparation for the annual financial audit.
- Ad hoc requests.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in financial ERPs, Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in US GAAP and/or Certified Public Accountant
- 3-5 years or more of related experience required.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
