POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Technology Specialist is responsible for providing technical and analytical support for maintaining an enterprise-wide closed-circuit television system (CCTV), access control system and overall physical security. Responsibilities include troubleshooting CCTV and access control systems remotely, establishing and training new end-users, and providing overall guidance and technical support. This position requires analytical and technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business on security issues and solutions.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the enterprise-wide physical security enhancement to include establishing and managing user accounts for CCTV and access control.
- Serves as the first line of defense for troubleshooting and system repair.
- Using Digital Watchdog CCTV platform, establishes and maintains a
preventative maintenance schedule for the CCTV system and follows up with
stakeholders to ensure adherence to the schedule. - Creates and implements system analytics and reporting tools to be used with
the CCTV system to identify security patterns/trends. Provides leadership with recommendations for improvement. - Prepares and presents training to new end-users on the use of the CCTV system.
- Administers the S2 Security access control system and works closely with the security team.
- Logs work performed and completed using internal ticketing system.
- Performed other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and strong interest with Security Technology (cameras, access
control, alarms, etc.) - Strong ethics and the ability to keep information confidential.
- Proven ability to be proactive and effective under deadline pressure.
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence through excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of experience in Security Technology such as CCTV, electronic access control, alarms systems, etc.
