Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), General Services Division (GSD) is seeking a dedicated Electronic Security Systems Specialist.
Ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and the integrity of buildings within ADOA-managed facilities is paramount. Spanning approximately 85 buildings across the state, with the majority situated in the bustling capitol complex of downtown Phoenix, our scope covers an impressive 6.5 million square feet of space.
As an Electronic Security Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for all. Your responsibilities will include the installation, service, and repair of a wide range of security hardware and devices. This includes, but is not limited to, access control systems, key systems, CCTV and IP cameras, alarm systems, emergency phone boxes, and panic alarms. Furthermore, your expertise will extend to the programming and upkeep of our badging system database and Video Management System (VMS), ensuring seamless security operations throughout our facilities.

- Troubleshooting, service and repair of various electronic access control, alarm system, door locking hardware and cctv equipment. Programming the Lenel database for new access levels, time changes and users.
- Installation of new access control, door locking hardware, and cctv equipment, such as car readers, electric strikes, door contacts, head end equipment, mechanical door hardware. Programming the Lenel system for sub contractors and new door or device adds. Adding cameras to and programming the VMS. Updating system documentation of changes made.
- Preventative maintenance work on field devices. Systems testing, pro-active repairs, adjustments and cleaning of various pieces of equipment.
- Produce reports, add/modify/remove access levels and update firmware and components throughout the security system.
- Update, enter new and complete work orders in the MaxPanda system.
- Update and create new Security System Documentation. Includes programming matrix, device locations, and system audit reports.
Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of security operations, maintenance and management
- Construction principles, methods, techniques
- Understanding of communications network configuration
- Current applicable building and construction codes; statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to areas of assigned responsibility

- Install, service and repair various locking and SECURITY SYSTEMS

- Multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Lenel Technician Certification preferred
- 5 years or more experience in commercial access control installation and servicing
- Background and reference check, including a criminal records verification
