SalaryAs the Security Support Specialist, you will serve in the development, implementation, and administration of internal facility security functions, including maintaining customer security requirements. This role analyzes security documents and manuals as the company’s designated security officer and maintains appropriate levels of controls. This position performs periodic security inspections and processes clearances/special accesses and debriefing/terminations of such special access.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Implements federal security regulations that apply to facility operations.
- Briefs incoming staff on security processes and debriefs outgoing staff.
- Administrative duties for processing employees for a clearance.
- Conducts security awareness training sessions with new staff.
- Maintains records for periodic secure systems inspections with customer liaisons and other technical professionals.
- Knowledge of SWFT and fingerprinting process and employee badging
- Knowledge of reviewing SF86 for accuracy according to the rules of the obtaining a Secret clearance
- Use DISS, NBIS, e-QIP, and other security software in the performance of assigned duties.
- Prepares and administers briefings on security programs and administrative services to facility personnel and supports security and facility inspections.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years recent security management experience managing a contract of similar size (200 personnel) scope (multiple locations) and complexity.
- Knowledge of Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) ,DISS, NBIS,NISS, e-QIP, including ability to create personnel clearances via processing SF86 and upgrade requests and submission of adverse action reports when directed by the FSO.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:
- FSO Non-Possessing certification within 90 days of employment
- FSO Possessing certification within 180 days of employment
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, agency requirements applicable to job duties.
- Effective communication and administrative skills.
TRAVEL: 10%
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.
