Job Description:
- PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Security Shift Supervisor will assist the Security Director and Assistant Security Director with the operation of the assigned shift of the Security Department at Doylestown Hospital. This position will be the Officer-in-Charge of the assigned shift. It is the responsibility of the Security Shift Supervisor to ensure the Security Associates maintain a safe, secure environment for Patients, Visitors, Associates, Volunteers and Medical Staff; and enhance communication and provide immediate response to facility needs.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides leadership and management for the Associates in the Security Department as the Officer-in-Charge of the assigned shift; Reports to Security Director and/or Assistant Security Director or his/her designee.
- Performs all the essential job functions of a Security Officer including an immediate response to calls, especially assists and Crisis Intervention situations.
- Working knowledge of Administrative/Security Dept. Policies & Procedures and ability to problem solve using P&P's for appropriate outcome.
- Investigation of security related incidents with detailed Incident Report documentation.
- Use discretion and good judgment under pressure and in emergencies.
- Coordinates First Response Team during emergencies, fire, evacuation, decon. Takes active role in drills.
Job Qualifications:
- QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Criminal Justice background, law enforcement
related fields preferred
Experience:
- Sufficient previous experience in security and safety operations
- Experience in healthcare preferred
Additional Skills:
- Clear, interpersonal communication skills

- Team Player
- Valid PA Driver's License with a good driving record
Other
- Clear PA. State Police Criminal Background Check is required
