Security Personnel

As a Security Guard at On Par Entertainment, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, staff, and performers during events and activities hosted by our company. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to safety and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.

Responsibilities:

1. Event Security: Monitor entrances, exits, and crowd behavior to prevent unauthorized access, disturbances, or safety hazards during events.

2. Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the venue to deter and detect suspicious activity, vandalism, or other security threats. Utilize surveillance equipment as needed to monitor key areas.

3. Crowd Management: Assist with crowd control measures to maintain order and ensure the safety of guests, performers, and staff. Provide directions and assistance to attendees as needed.

4. Emergency Response: Act swiftly and decisively in the event of emergencies, including medical incidents, fights, or evacuations. Follow established protocols and coordinate with emergency services as necessary.

5. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts and confrontations with professionalism and diplomacy, utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations whenever possible.

6. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with fellow Security personnel, event organizers, and management to coordinate security efforts and address any issues or concerns promptly.

7. Report Writing: Document incidents, observations, and any relevant information accurately and comprehensively in written reports, maintaining proper records for future reference.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.

- Strong observation skills and situational awareness, with the ability to remain vigilant and alert at all times.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.

- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on event schedules.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
