- Review and lead efforts to review, write, comment upon existing and emerging policies, regulations, and directives impacting Army Security Cooperation efforts and Proponency for the emerging Security Cooperation Work Force.
- Work closely with Army commands, ASCCs, DRUs as well as combatant commands, OSD, JS, DSCA and DASA DE&C regarding Army SC policy and strategy
- Produce executive level correspondence that is culturally informed for bilateral engagements with senior officials from allied and partner country armies.
- Analyzed DOD, Joint Staff and Army strategic guidance to identify future requirements with our best allies and foreign partners. Translate that guidance into Army SC policies, strategies, and processes.
- Supports the Army’s International Affairs team at the Pentagon as a senior strategic action officer on Security Cooperation, anticipating the needs of senior leaders and proactively addressing issues with an emphasis on sound judgement and initiative with appropriate but minimal direction.
- Conduct research and provide written reports, review and provide input to Memorandums of Understanding (MOU)/Agreement (MOA), EXORDS.
- Participate in meetings and working groups with other DoD, interagency and partner nation entities, and provide written executive summary from meetings.
- The analyst shall also be familiar with and demonstrate competency in developing and maintaining Microsoft Office (specifics) based written products
