A successful candidate will be a detail-oriented team player who combines a firm grasp of Health Care Policy with exceptional quantitative research skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are an absolute requirement.
This position will report to the Director of Health Care Policy.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in government, Health Care, policy analysis or a related field
- A degree in economics, data analysis, statistics, public policy, history or English; or commensurate experience. Graduate work preferred but not required.
- Broad working knowledge of the U.S. Health Care system and Health Care Policy
- Ability to express complex ideas, supported by robust policy analysis, in written and oral form
- Ability to communicate complex policy and its implications to a variety of audiences
- Familiarity with the U.S. federal legislative and regulatory process as well as associated documents (bills, rulemaking and agency guidance)
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities efficiently with little notice.
- Strong quantitative skills and demonstrable expertise working with MS Excel. Experience using statistical packages (such as SAS, STATA, or R) is useful but not essential.
