The Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia is seeking a Policy Analyst within the Director’s Office of the Child Support Services Division’s Policy Unit. The Child Support Services Division (CSSD) goal is to elevate the well-being of children and the self-sufficiency of families by delivering first-rate child support services that help parents meet the financial, medical, and emotional needs of their children. The ideal candidates must have case management experience, knowledge, and experience rendering Child Support services.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position is located in the Child Support Services Division (CSSD), Office of the Attorney General (OAG), Government of the District of Columbia. The incumbent is responsible for providing essential analytical; planning; policy and procedural development, dissemination, and implementation; and evaluation services for CSSD.

Incumbent provides administrative, program, and management analysis support to CSSD. More specifically, the incumbent's duties and responsibilities include planning, policy research, analysis, evaluation, communication, and liaison functions with other human services and revenue programs in the District with which the child support program must interact. Analyzes and evaluates the performance and effectiveness of line program operations, as well as federal performance measures, in meeting established goals and objectives. Evaluates and advises CSSD leadership on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support systems, such as case records, payment records, and histories, maintenance, and updates of policy and procedures manuals, communications, forms, files, directives, and documentation. Develops training programs and materials related to CSSD and other relevant programs, policies, and procedures. Coordinates training deliveries and follow up with the CSSD Training Coordinator or other appropriate co-workers, as requested.
Performs work related to special projects or studies for CSSD, including reports on specific methodologies for improving program performance and efficiencies; analyzes benefit/cost ratios; etc. Responds to inquiries from District and federal officials to ensure compliance with established District and federal performance measures and program directives as well as to ensure that all program impacts are thoroughly measured, assessed, and addressed. Participates in various committees and task forces to provide leadership, recommend policy and procedure revisions, and provide input regarding policy and administrative issues, concerns, and problems.

Qualifications and Education
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CS-12 grade level, or its non-District equivalent gained from either the public or private sector. Degree in behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position is preferred. Experience in federal policy and/or child support policy is strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $100,630 - $129,671

Position Designation: This position has been deemed Sensitive under the guidelines of the DC Personnel Manual.
