Overview
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for loss prevention and shortage control programs, taking an active role in identifying all forms of loss, motivating shortage control involvement, and helping to identify shortage control solutions
- Provide a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors including the facility, as well as drivers and sales representatives
- Provide security for the company warehouse, offices, and general assets against theft, vandalism, fire, and illegal entry
- Utilizing a variety of methods, the Security Associate monitors and assists with the tracking of product shortages
- Responsible for investigating reports of known or suspected internal theft, violence or the threat of violence or other criminal acts of an associate
- Provide oversight and assistance in the management of third-party security services
- Conducting company shrink compliance audits in the distribution center and facilitating improvement of shrink results
- Develop and maintain a rapport with the various agencies as needed, coordinated investigations with internal or outside agencies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience
Physical Demands
- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
- Additional hours may be required during October, November, and December and other peak periods
- May require working at heights of 8 feet or greater
- Must be able to frequently lift/lower, push, carry, or pull 56lbs
