Job Title: Senior Network Design & Security Engineer
Location of role: Hybrid remote in St. Louis, MO 63105 Greater St. Louis - Clayton in office 3 days on-site but lots of flexibility. This person needs to be in the greater St. Louis, MO area but will have flexibility in working/scheduling. Great benefits include breakfast and lunch daily from an onsite chef. Salary 150K to 170K total comp including bonus Depending on experience DOE
Key points:
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be very proficient in designing and hands-on managing a TRADITIONAL vs SDN (Software Defined Network) network of firewalls, routing, troubleshooting and patch/vulnerability management with a strong emphasis on automation. This position requires taking a lead role on projects (small and large) and following through to completion.
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in a similar role, designing, configuring, administering, and supporting IP networks, including subnets, routing, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, QoS, VOIP, TCP/IP monitoring and troubleshooting.
5+ years of experience with Cisco or Palo Alto Routing/Switching/Firewalls/IPS preferred
In-depth knowledge of networking standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures.
Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Git, and Github are preferred
In depth experience with monitoring and diagnosing complex network, security and systems issues using tools such as Wireshark.
Familiarity with the most current networking hardware, software and services.
Cisco CCNP or CCNP-level equivalent experience and security certifications strongly desired.
Experience with Cisco Wireless, Identity Services Engine (ISE), Digital Network Architecture (DNA), Application Centric Architecture (ACI), and Palo Pan-OS preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
AWS certifications are a plus
Experience in Financial Services is a plus
Responsibilities:
This person will lead the charge in designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust network infrastructure working with all technology teams to ensure the network is scalable, reliable, and secure.
Design and implement scalable and reliable enterprise-level network solutions, including routing, switching, and firewall configurations using vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and AWS
Proactively secure and monitor network infrastructure, identifying and recommending upgrades based on industry best practices
Lead network vulnerability remediation, participate in security audits, and collaborate on firmware and software patching efforts
Troubleshoot network issues, optimize network configurations, and enforce best practices for network configuration
Work closely with business units to understand and meet functional requirements, ensuring a stable and scalable network infrastructure
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for network infrastructure
Develop and maintain documentation for network infrastructure and processes
