Job Summary:
- Under direct supervision, performs system audits and other assigned tasks to ensure the safety of client information systems assets, and to protect those assets from intentional or inadvertent access, modification or destruction.
- Assists in analysis of information and data flows within client and between client and non-client organizations using SailPoint.
- Helps coach end users on use of security tools, proper processes and applicable compliance standards.
- May participate in the development of Information Services (IS) security standards and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Under direct supervision utilizes SailPoint, along with other processes and applications, assisting in real-time auditing of systems configurations and both internal and external interfaces, to detect and investigate potential privacy and\or security hazards and threats to client system assets.
- May participate in coaching of end-users on preventative processes and policies to ensure asset security.
- Learning to exercise tactful but positive influence on staff at all levels.
- Maintains a log of activities and provides status reports to leadership.
- Participates with project teams to understand and execute the scope of a project, creates and maintains work plans, and provides the appropriate project-related status reports.
- Looks for opportunities to learn from more experienced Security Analysts.
- Required Associate's Degree /Technical school or equivalent
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience in the field Preferred
- Background demonstrative of the highest level of personal and professional integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information Preferred
- A minimum of 2-3 years security/identity analyst experience.
- Under minimal supervision, performs system audits and other assigned tasks to ensure the safety of client information systems assets, and to protect those assets from intentional or inadvertent access, modification, or destruction.
- Analyzes identity and data flows within client and between client and non-client organizations using Active Directory, SailPoint, PowerShell, Python and other available tools and techniques.
- Provides process improvement recommendations to improve workflow.
- Coaches end users on use of security tools, proper processes and applicable compliance standards.
- May participate in the development of Digital Services (DS) identity security standards and procedures. Competent to work on most phases of information security but may require instruction and guidance in others.
- Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite, Information Security, auditing, scripting, and role-based access.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
