The Secretary lll maintains a close and highly responsive relationship with government credit card buyers, customers, and office staff. Works independently receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance and performs various clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office.
Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Answer all incoming calls.
- Greet vendors, visitors, employees, and job inquiries.
- Respond to inquiries in person, via email or telephone.
- Process badge and CAC requests.
- Schedule meetings for annex managers including Project and Deputy managers.
- Perform administrative tasks to include filing and photocopying.
- Assist with new hire paperwork and maintain personnel files.
- Administrative support may require leading and directing other office project and responsibilities, which include oversee budgets, maintaining personnel records and payroll and other senior administrative functions as assigned.
- Manage, schedule, and process all FEDMALL orders.
- Acts as a liaison between the site and Corporate HR Department conducting orientation.
- Assists with execution of special events such as benefits enrollment.
- May assist with payroll functions including answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must have minimum of 2 years clerical experience or equivalent education.
- Computer experience required with knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs including email and websites programs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to research policy, procedural guidance, and historical files to identify precedents.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to work in the sitting position for six or more hours per day.
- Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
