Job Type: Full-time; Seasonal; 40 hours per week; nights and weekends required, overtime when required; Non-Exempt
Rate: $24.20/hour (New Hire)
Work Location: Randall’s Island Park, New York, NY 10035
- Creatively capture and promote the park, including programming events, passive park usage, environmental interactions, etc., through photography and videos.
- Live stream and take pictures at Icahn Stadium and programming events, festivals, classes, etc.
- Create, write, and post content on social media outlets, with approval from the Communications Manager.
- Collaborate with the year-round Communications & Social Media Coordinator on tasks and projects.
- Interact with park patrons and provide general park information with a welcoming and friendly demeanor.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as completing simple reports, data entry, etc.
- All other general tasks as assigned.
- Strong working professional knowledge of social media platforms.
- Experience with editing photos and videos.
- Experience taking good quality pictures and live streaming videos, with a keen eye.
- Ability to write professionally and clearly.
- Ability to engage with colleagues and the public, bringing a proactive energy to events and programs.
- Ability to collaborate and create positive working relationships.
- Good planning, organizational and time management skills as well as strong attention to detail.
- Motivated and punctual, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work in all types of weather.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime, when needed.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop) and, or other graphic design and video editing software.
- Experience capturing sporting events via film/video.
- Coursework in Communications, Media, Marketing etc.
- Experience working in a park/outdoors.
- Experience in the track and field industry
- Fluent in Spanish
- Valid Driver License
