Responsibilities:
- Use sewing machines, sergers, grommet presses other tools to complete tasks
- Ability to use adhesives and fusing interfaces
- Measure, cut, and sew fabrics to create new garments or modify existing ones
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of all alterations and repairs
- Perform alterations and repairs according to customer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience as a seamstress or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of garment construction and fabric types
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and other sewing tools
- Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Skills:
- Sewing and Fusing: Proficient in sewing, gluing and fusing techniques. Should be able to hem, stitch, and repair garments
- Sewing and Serger machines: Experience operating various types of sewing and serger machines for different tasks
- Garment construction: Understanding of how garments are constructed and ability to make alterations accordingly
- Fabricate: Skill in fabricating new garments or modifying existing ones
