Job Description
Accumulus is seeking an experienced Scrum Master (SM) to help lead our agile software development process. The SM will work with the Product Managers and Engineering Leads to support various development ceremonies and planning activities and communicate status to colleagues, stakeholders, as well as our leadership team. The SM will also help with efforts to improve, refine and document our development process, as well as participate in various planning activities conducted by our Program Management team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master on multiple teams
- Work with leadership to manage project scope and timeline
- Collaborate with Product Managers to review backlog items and assist in defining new requests
- Schedule and facilitate all scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives and possibly Scrum of Scrums meetings
- Shield team members from outside distractions not related to sprint commitment
- Proactively work to remove impediments for the teams
- Elicit action items after each sprint's retrospective and track status through completion
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration among all teams including quality, security and engineering
- Lead planning activities in cooperation with our Program Management team
- Coach team members and all levels of business in developing an Agile mindset
- Identify and track key metrics related to team progress and overall velocity
Qualifications
- A passion for the Accumulus mission: bringing therapeutics to patients faster!
- At least 5 years experience in a Scrum Master role, with experience in the lifesciences space a plus
- Deep familiarity with software development (SDLC), especially SAAS applications
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques, vocabulary and artifacts (such as definition of done, estimation using story points, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Good knowledge of various Agile frameworks
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- 4 year degree in a related field
- Scrum master certification is a plus
- Past experience in regulated environments is a plus: GxP Gamp 5, FDA Title 21 CFR Part 11, FedRAMP, ISO27001/27017/27018/27701 and/or SOC 2
