Job Summary:
We are seeking a Scrum Master to work on one of Caterpillar’s state-of-the-art digital applications: Service Information System (SIS), which enable the dealer service business and aligns with enterprise goals of parts sales. If this aligns with your goals, then we are interested in talking to you!
What You Will Do:

• Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our users and dealers.
• Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
• Resolves team impediments to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in SIS 2.0
• Facilitate and supports all scrum events: Backlog grooming, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.
• Provide weekly reports to upper management, including but not limited to, velocity, estimation, burndown chart, project status, user stories status, risks, issues and mitigation plans.
• Verify that all necessary documentation is created according to current guidelines.

 

What You Will Have:

• Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholder
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Software Problem Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.
• Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.

• Experience working in Cloud PaaS (Microsoft Azure), Azure DevOps (ADO) - Preferred
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification preferred.

Additional Details:

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; or Irving, TX (Dallas) offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.
