Scientific Business Development And Client Relations Manager

Yoh is looking for a Clinical Sales Manager - CRO to come in and join our CRO client to lead their new sales division.
 
The ideal individual will come in with strong CRO sales experience with a background in chemistry or very closely related field.

Location: Alameda, CA - open to remote work + travel
Compensation: 130k - 150k base + commission
Type: Direct Hire
 
Responsibilities

• Develop proposals and fee estimates for client’s requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Works collaboratively with scientific team to promote services to companies in biotech/pharma.
• Responsible for meeting sales targets and revenue growth targets for specified territories.
• Provide strategic financial and scientific input to RFPs in association with other personnel as required for each specific opportunity
• Responsible for sales of services in collaboration with Business Development team
• Performs other duties including attending trade shows, visiting clients onsite, present capabilities, scheduling lunch-and-learns
• Contributes to the global strategy by providing recommendations and feedback for both Business Development and operational strategy.
• Excellent understanding of the drug development market in assigned region including target companies, size of market and emerging technologies/modalities etc.
• Develop and maintain high-level Client Relationships through regular meetings, both face-to-face and virtual
• Work with members of the Business Development team and operations to drive business
• Ability to travel
• Use CRM to log client meetings and significant calls as well as for the tracking of all opportunities

 
Qualifications

• Position can be remote/hybrid
• Position will require some travel (depending on individuals location) but will be based mostly based in the San Francisco Bay Area
• D. in Chemistry or very closely related field is preferred
• Experience working at a contract research organization
• 4-8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
• Mass spectrometry and/or bioanalysis experience is a huge plus
• Strong Analytical background, as well as some knowledge of cGMPs, ICH, relevant FDA guidelines, and experience in writing relevant regulatory submissions
• Candidate should be a strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Appropriate technical experience of relevant laboratory techniques within a regulated environment
