Our client is currently seeking a School Superintendent for a full-time position. The role involves overseeing all aspects of facility management at a prestigious institution located in Manhattan. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and ensure the smooth operation of instructional and administrative facilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in building technology, vocational trades, construction management, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in management, business, public administration, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Familiarity with NYC fire and building codes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office, BMS (Building Management Systems), Payroll Management, and Procurement software.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in charter/independent day school facilities management preferred.
- Ability to manage construction projects from inception through completion of punch list.
- Experience in budget formulation and implementation.
- Capability to mentor and train employees.
- Ability to collaborate with lay leaders in real estate and construction fields.
