Our trusted client seeks a remote, contract Site Reliability Engineer to join their team!

• Role: Site Reliability Engineer (Remote - California Local)
• Duration: 6 months + extension(s)
• Location: Remote – California Local
• Pay Range: $95k - $105k salary

Summary: Assist in project to Migrate from on-prem Kubernetes environment to AWS/Azure. Excellent opportunity towork with architects and developers to build out AWS/Azure namespaces, setup Gitlab pipelines to deploy code to those namespaces and work through any issues to get the applications connected to related systems in the Cloud environment.

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

• Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with business partners to understand their requirements and express ideas concisely and logically
• Full cycle knowledge of capacity planning, retirement
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure and other cloud technologies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with performance monitors and dashboards
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with agile scalable software engineering as well as CI/CD, automation and DevOps practices
• Minimum 5 years’ experience CICD pipeline build/setup for AWS/Azure cloud
• Minimum 5 years’ experience .Net Core, Mongo Atlas DB
• Demonstrable programming experience in Python, PowerShell, and bash
• Experience with system capacity monitoring and forecasting applications; as well as application and infrastructure monitoring for performance, availability, and scalability
• Understanding of large-scale applications, network architectures, firewall topology, monitoring performance and fault management, and software design and development methodologies
