Job Overview: Files correspondence, invoices, cards, or other records in a prescribed manner.
Job Functions:
- Reads and sort incoming material.
- Locates and removes requested information; keeps records of materials removed; stamps materials removed; and traces missing records.
- Answers telephones, conveys messages, and runs errands.
- Assumes responsibility for knowing and following all safety rules and proper procedures; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Greet students, parents and visitors
- Arranging substitutes for faculty.
- Assisting with moving faculty to cover classrooms when a sub is not available.
- Working with substitutes-checking in, giving keys, instructions, reports their time to the finance dept. etc.
- Assigning lockers to students and collects fee if applicable.
- Assign students parking passes, collects any associated fee and paperwork.
- Maintains student parking list and paperwork.
- Assisting principal and assistant principal with their duties (taking phone messages, handling correspondence, calling parents scheduling appointments)
- Maintaining class rosters as needed.
- Assisting in supervision of students waiting in office for discipline or for parent pickup
- Filling in to cover playground duty, lunch duty, or other areas when supervision of students is needed.
- Managing the ordering and care of copy machine and workroom equipment.Assisting faculty with making copies for instruction.
- Facilitating sign in and out procedures for students, parents, and visitors.
- Cross training to be able to perform duties of helping students with meds, etc. in absence of the nurse.
- Requires basic clerical skills and knowledge of office practices and procedures that involve the operation of standard office equipment such as personal computer, copier, fax, and associated equipment that can be learned on the job within several months.
