SalaryRancho Solano Preparatory School (RSPS) is searching for people with demonstrated experience, a commitment to excellence and a willingness to embrace the school's mission and values. RSPS is currently recruiting for a School Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication for students with a wide range of health conditions.
- Conduct the annual (and as needed) screenings for vision and hearing problems for students.
- Monitor current school required immunizations for students.
- Care for students who become sick or injured during school hours. The nurse may need to assess situation to determine if emergency medical services are required.
- Issue health alerts to parents when advisable such as: during an outbreak of head lice, viruses, or other communicable illnesses.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of professional agencies in a variety of disciplines to enhance the educational process and the promotion of an optimal level of wellness for students, families, and staff.
Skills/ Requirements:
- Registered nurse, currently licensed in Arizona and in good standing
- Nationally certified School Nurse or registered nurse working toward national certification preferred
- Nursing experience in a school setting preferred
- Successfully pass a background check
- Obtain or be able to obtain an IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Professional appearance, customer service oriented to staff, students, and parents
- Willing to assist with the front office duties as needed
- At least 5 years of experience working with children
