School Nurse For Monthly Visits

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to conduct Monthly Visits at our school as required by DCFS. Visits consist of a two hour obversation in each classroom (two classrooms total) and must be conducted between the hours of 8am and 12pm. Schedule is flexible and one visit per classroom per month is required (4 hours total per month). We are expanding and more hours will be available toward the end of the year.

Duties:

-Familiarize yourself with DCFS health and safety requirements for daycare facilities

-Complete Nurse Logs after each visit and inform school administration of any concerns noted during observation

-Audit student and staff health records

-Be available for occasional questions regarding pediatric health and safety from staff

Requirements:

- Must be a Registered Nurse or Licenced Practical Nurse with valid license

- Proven experience as a nurse in a school or pediatric setting is preferred

- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common childhood illnesses

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure student confidentiality

-Must be able to pass a background check
