Job description

Overview of Position

The SCO and Student Support Coordinator (SSC) will be the primary point of contact for students throughout their time at MSC. The SSC will contact prospective students to help them make an informed decision regarding enrollment at MSC, support them as they prepare to become a new student, and provide support during class as needed. The SSC will also be the School Certifying Official for students receiving Veterans benefits. The SSC will need to complete required VA training to become the SCO, stay up to date on VA policies and procedures to ensure the school remains in compliance with the Veterans Administration. The SSC will certify veteran enrollment and ensure they meet all eligibility requirements to continue to receive VA benefits.

Expectations

  • Contact potential students and support them in order to make informed decisions regarding enrollment at MSC
  • Provide excellent student support across the student lifecycle, including preparing students to start class, check ins during class, and provide solutions should student issues arise
  • Understand the different types of educational benefits available to veterans and their eligible dependents
  • Obtain SCO (School Certifying Official) status with Veterans Administration
  • Certify veterans using the VA Enrollment Manager
  • Terrn veterans at end of program term
  • Attend required SCO workshops and training
  • Serve as compliance officer during school site visits
  • Posses a high level of understanding of the school, programs, placement services and able to communicate effectively with veteran candidates
  • Familiar with the school's Course Catalogs and Enrollment Agreements
  • Shall not misrepresent the nature of the school, facility, programs, expected outcomes of training. salary expectations, etc. in any way, either directly or indirectly, implied or by omission
  • Other tasks as may be assigned

Administrative Expectations

  • Use database tools to effectively track and manage interaction and progress of candidates and students
  • Maintain an accurate log of call activity, call outcome and follow-up objectives
  • Utilize RingCentral for call activity
  • Proficiency withApple products, Microsoft Office

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous military experience
  • Proficiency withmodern technology platforms and tools (Google Drive and Docs, etc.) High level of initiative and desire to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment Exhibit a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment Exceptional presentation, facilitation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects on time under constantly shifting schedules
  • Perform a wide range of tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence
  • Demonstrate ability to be proactive, exercise independent judgment and demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Must exhibit knowledge and passion for medical device sales
  • Linkedin - portray yourself and the company accurately

Position Requirements

  • Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for up to 8+ hours per day
  • Follow-up on emails, texts and phone calls within 24 hours
  • Accurately maintain and share your Google Calendar accordingly
  • Highly motivated with ability to thrive in a fluid and demanding environment
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving ability
  • Light to moderate lifting, carrying and moving of objects including luggage, laptop computer, boxes up to 35lbs
  • Hours may occasionally extend into evenings and weekends
  • Office based position based at the Denver, CO campus
