Job Summary
The role of the Quality Assurance Specialist II is to execute manual test cases, perform functional confidence and regression testing prior to deployment to identify and report defects, analyze product requirements,identifyand author test cases, and perform risk analysis to determine test case priority and focused testing efforts with the objective of Scanco delivering software that reliably meets the objectives of Scanco's client base. In addition, this role acts in a coaching/leadership capacity providing guidance and knowledge to other less experienced Quality Assurance Specialists with the objective of a broad depth of bench for Scanco's Development team.
Essential Functions
Test Development
- Creates test plans from product requirements, risk assessments and platform & configuration
- Authors and maintains test cases
- Maintains organization and structure of the test suite library
Test Execution
- Executes test cases
- Conducts ad hoc testing
Defect Reporting & Testing
- Collaborates with software developers to identify,defineand write potential operational issues and detailed project defects
- Provides testing estimates
- Performs analysis of projectrequirements
Leadership & Coaching
- Achieves growth and consistently meets project completion targets
- Owns objectives set byVPDand implements coaching and performance oversight with cross-fuctional teams
- Provides motivation,counseling, and product knowledge education in partnership with Learning & Development team

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionincomputer scienceor equivalent experience
- 4 years of verifiable experience in a Software Quality Assurance role
- Experience usingSage 100, Sage300andCrystal Reportspreferred
- Experience using SQL Management Tools.
- 4 years Working withcollaborative softwareteam
- Experience Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain Management or Accounting a plus
