Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Developer Engineer to join our team to work on developing, testing, and maintaining SAP applications, along with interfaces between SAP and external systems. As an SAP Developer Engineer, you will work closely with the functional and technical teams to understand the business requirements, provide technical solutions, and troubleshoot issues. You will adhere to the best practices and standards for SAP development and documentation. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the data exchange between SAP and other applications.
Essential Functions
- Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants and end users to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, unit test and maintain SAP applications, such as reports, forms, interfaces, enhancements, etc. using ABAP programming language and tools.
- Debug, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP applications, interfaces and integrations.
- Follow the best practices and standards for coding, documentation, testing and quality assurance.
- Keep up to date with the latest SAP technologies and innovations.
- Perform project and functions as assigned by the IT Manager of Business Applications.
- Other integration tasks as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with a focus on system interfacing.
- Knowledge of SAP modules, such as SD, MM, FI, CO, etc., and their integration points.
- Proficient in using various SAP interfacing technologies, such as IDOC, RFC, BAPI, ALE, EDI, SOAP, REST, OData, etc.
- Experience in developing and testing interfaces using SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, or other middleware tools.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming language and tools, such as ABAP Workbench, ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Editor, etc.
- Life-cycle SAP enhancements including ongoing support.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, and understanding of both Cloud and On-Prem SAP architectures.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues within the position's responsibilities.
- Experience working in a team-based collaborative environment with strong communication and multi-tasking skills, focused on efficiency.
- Understanding of project and change management principles.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP Suite on HANA or SAP S/4 HANA environment.
- Experience with Smartform/SAPScript/Adobe Form development.
- Experience with TM and/or WMS.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- The work environment characteristics are those consistent with a standard office environment.
- Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Schedule Requirements
This position is expected to work within core business hours and occasionally requires participation in after-hours work with domestic and international stakeholders.
Travel Requirements
This position is expected to travel infrequently, primarily for conferences or training as needed, or Zinpro manufacturing facilities located within a 4-hour radius of Zinpro corporate HQ.
