Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of food processing equipment and instruments according to established protocols and schedules.
- Focus on cleaning the punches for our mint press machines, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and free of any residue or contaminants.
- Clean and maintain conveyor belts, scales, truffle line, engrossing pans, and other equipment used in food processing.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for thorough cleaning and sanitization.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents, sanitizers, and tools to ensure effective sanitation and prevent cross-contamination.
- Inspect equipment for any signs of damage, wear, or malfunction and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage and disposal of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient and effective sanitation practices.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding sanitation, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sanitation or janitorial work, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitization techniques for food processing equipment and instruments.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).
- Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work during non-production hours as required for equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- The work schedule is Monday-Friday
- $20-$25/hour DOE
