Salon Coordinator/Receptionist

We are looking for a dedicated and versatile individual to join our salon team as a Salon Coordinator. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience from the moment they walk in.

*We need people who are comfortable in fast-paced settings. During the holiday season, the salon is prone to have a higher calling volume to book appointments. If you can work proactively and with a great attitude during these circumstances this is a job for you!

Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere in the salon
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the salon's calendar
- Sell and provide knowlegde on Aveda products on the retail floor
- Provide information about salon services and pricing to clients
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
- Offer refreshments and ensure clients are comfortable while waiting for their stylist
- Act as a liason between clients and hair stylist, ensuring clear communication and a smooth salon experience
- Assist the owner with administrative tasks such as responding to emails, checking our social media, handling invoices and paying salon bills

Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeaner
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Previous experience in salon reception or as a hostess is perferred
- Knowledge of Aveda or technical sales is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.93 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
