Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Salon Assistant/Receptionist. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry and work alongside experienced professionals. The Salon Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our stylists and ensuring the smooth operation of daily salon activities. This role will split their time between receptionist duties and working on the floor with our hairstylists.

Responsibilities:

• Assist stylists with prepping clients for services, including shampooing, applying color, and preparing styling stations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, including sweeping hair, sanitizing tools, and restocking supplies
• Greet clients warmly and escort them to their designated areas
• Manage salon laundry, including washing and folding towels and capes
• Handle retail transactions for salon products and assist clients with product recommendations
• Provide support during salon events and promotions
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing client records
• Uphold salon standards and policies to ensure a positive and professional environment for clients and staff
• Collaborate with the team to ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or salon environment is preferred but not required
• Passion for the beauty industry and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Basic knowledge of salon services and products is a plus
• Must have a PA Cosmetology license or currently in school for Cosmetology

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
