What you'll do
The Salesforce Developer will design, develop, and implement SaaS-based Application, Data, and Integration Engineering solutions that run our internal business, as well as evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs. This role requires deep Salesforce configuration and customization knowledge, integration experience and sound judgment in order to effectively plan and deliver. Over time, the successful candidate will own one or more pieces of our Business Application Projects and may be required to lead or direct the work of others. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Salesforce Engineering.
Responsibility
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain solutions on the Salesforce platform and other supporting technologies
- Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices and perform peer code reviews, which may include custom platform development (e.g., Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components), integrations with back office systems, often through the use of middleware tools, and data migrations
- Work with internal business team customers to gather requirements to deliver innovative solutions that meet needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability and realistic implementation schedules
- Assist project leadership in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources, and setting a realistic schedule for development
- Evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and ensure final solutions meet organizational needs and the scalability of the solutions
- Seek out opportunities to use Salesforce to improve processes and productivity, make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace, and help in removing technical debt that might impact the performance of the Salesforce Org
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to deliver software projects using development processes such as Agile/Scrum
- Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams such as product management and interface development, and integrate other systems into Salesforce or from Salesforce to other products
- Debug high-priority bugs and implement a fix if necessary which might affect Integrations or functionality of the user interface
Job Designation
Hybrid:
Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT applications emphasizing Salesforce.com configuration, customization, and support
- 4+ years of experience developing Salesforce Apex Classes, Controllers, Triggers, Visualforce, Web Services
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware (e.g., Platform Events, Informatica, Tray.io)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Salesforce CLI) for Salesforce
- Experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud (Communities)
- 1+ year of Salesforce Einstein Analytics (Tableau CRM) experience
- Salesforce Platform Developer 1 certification (PD1)
- Experience working with Einstein Discovery, Machine Learning, Prediction, and working knowledge on R Language
- Experience building Aura and/or Lightning Web Components
- Experience in handling data flows, recipes, and security predicates of datasets
Preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of requirements gathering and creating and deploying solutions to end users
- Tableau CRM and Einstein Discovery Consultant certification
Experience supporting Salesforce instances with 2,000+ users - Proficiency in defining intuitive, insightful, actionable, and compelling Einstein Analytics reports and dashboards
- Experience with Salesforce/SaaS applications like Eloqua, D&B Optimizer, ZoomInfo, and Outreach
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive expertise in understanding and designing using Einstein Analytics
- Ability to install app exchange apps and follow through with a vendor for any troubleshooting
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $130,500 - $208,050 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $123,700 - $184,275 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and
benefits.
