Salesforce Analyst

Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) - a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York - seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Salesforce Analyst for the Research and Evaluation Department.

Harlem Children's Zone seeks a Salesforce Analyst to join our Data Science team within the Research and Evaluation Department, reporting to the Director of Data Science. As a crucial team member, you will play a key role in shaping our Salesforce strategy, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the long-term success of our Salesforce instance. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking individual with a solid technical background and experience in Salesforce administration and project management.

Minimum Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a related field
• Salesforce Administrator Certification

Who You Are.

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Salesforce administration and development, with experience creating and implementing Salesforce data strategy, preferably at a non-profit organization.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification (required), Salesforce Advanced Administrator and Salesforce Platform App Builder (preferred).
• Experience in Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) (strongly preferred), Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Analytics Cloud.
• Up to date with the newest Salesforce features.
• High proficiency in creating and updating complex flows and knowledge of flows best practices required; proficiency in Apex preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce implementation; familiarity with data modeling and object-oriented design.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, and a collaborative mindset.
• Visionary mindset with a focus on long-term strategy.

What You'll Do

• Develop and communicate a strategic vision for HCZ's Salesforce architecture.
• Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions to address business needs, aligning with industry best practices and HCZ's mission, values, and goals, in collaboration with the Salesforce Administrator and internal/external stakeholders. Solutions should be oriented towards increasing automation, easing data entry, improving data quality, and reducing data storage.
• Utilize expertise in Salesforce administration, Apex, flows, and database management to implement and customize Salesforce solutions.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new Salesforce features and technologies.
• Ensure Salesforce architecture supports current and future business requirements.
• Manage complex projects related to Salesforce, from planning and execution to monitoring and closure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements, scope, and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies, including adherence to industry best practices, in collaboration with the Salesforce Administrator.
• Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and integration tools, in collaboration with the Director of Data Science, and support the integration of third-party tools into the Salesforce environment.
• Provide mentorship to the Salesforce Administrator.
• Assist in Salesforce Administration tasks, including data uploads, user support, and maintenance, in collaboration with the Salesforce Administrator.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday (9 am - 5 pm)
• Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

We offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000.
