Job Summary

The Salesforce Administrator will provide support to the organization through the customization and configuration of our Salesforce.com platform. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new business processes including: Marketing, Sales/Sales Operations, Customer Servicing and our core program business processes. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator and part analyst. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM platform.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of three primary system administrators for the Salesforce environment with 3000+ users.
  • Interface with team members, business leaders and other stakeholders to gather, understand and translate requirements for various projects and initiatives.
  • Plan and execute large-scale data improvement projects including data normalization, de-duping, and general clean up within Salesforce and integrated applications.
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks.
  • Manage, configure, and support ongoing maintenance of Salesforce data feeds and other integrations.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
  • Participating in our agile SDLC with our team of Salesforce developers to design, test, and implement new features on Salesforce.
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our IT organization, Internal Business Stakeholders, and End Users.
  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document configuration and/or development requirements.
  • Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users.

  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels within the organization as well as collaborate with cross-functional business partners and technical teams.
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements in our Salesforce org and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes.

Experience Required

  • Minimum one to three years of experience as a Salesforce administrator.
  • Salesforce Admin (ADM201) certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working on the Lightning Platform.
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
  • Strong technical and functional proficiency in Salesforce administration tasks including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, roles, workflows, processes, flows, validation rules, approval processes, email alerts, advanced formulas, custom objects, reports, dashboards, page layouts, record types, Lightning pages and installed packages.
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.

Compensation:

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $75,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
