Position Description:
The Sales Support – Estimator, performs a broad variety of support functions for the needs of our customers and the organization. The job is characterized into two functions: Sales Support and Vendor Management. Both functions have a variety of customer interfacing tasks including, but not limited to managing pricing requests, quoting, RFP responses, subscription & licensing renewals and add-on sales during customer life cycle.
Sales Support – Provide price quotes and labor estimates to new and existing customers as requested by sales or the customer direct. Manage co-op purchasing programs to reduce buying cycle. Types of sales are as follows:
• Hardware, Software and/or Labor, collectively or independent.
• Subscription & License renewals
• Maintenance contracts
Vendor Management – Maintain relationships with the company’s key vendors to stay current and competitive as it pertains to products support, pricing, and response times.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing Sology’s Sales Support Desk
• Quote/Proposal Coordinator - Able to read and understand RFP requirements and manage the process to completion in a timely manner via a collective team effort.
o Quoting - Learn existing quoting tools to be able to generate professional looking quotes to a wide customer base.
• Work closely with Field Managers and Customers to set up site visits.
• Manage relationships with vendors and partners.
• Create purchase orders for vendor products/services.
• Prepare SharePoint file structures for Sology leads and pre-sales efforts.
Requirements:
• 2+ years previous experience in a customer service or Sales Support role
• Passion for working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Solid computer skills (MS Office, CRM)
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent with spread sheets and profitability analysis
• Self-starter, Quick Study, Critical Thinking, Proactive Approach, Team Player
• Ability to ask qualifying questions to help provide better solutions.
Education/Certifications:
• Marketing or Sales Bachelor (4 year) degree or equivalent experience
• Customer Service Certifications
