Seeking a high-energy Sales & Service Leader to set the pace on the sales floor and drive demand through excellent customer service. The Sales & Service Leader will have a background in luxury retail and/or luxury furniture/interior design. Must have a polished, professional demeanor and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Sales & Service Leader will profitably manage the customer experience, drive top line sales, and develop people through positive coaching, mentoring and KPI accountability. The Sales & Service Leader is accountable to the Gallery Leader for process compliance and quality metrics. The ideal candidate for Sales & Service Leader will have a strong business acumen, the ability to account for the bigger picture when making decisions, and lead the sales team with positive coaching & high energy.
- Work closely with the Gallery Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of sales and design. Work closely with the Gallery Leader, Operations Manager and Receiving Manager to manage sales processes and procedures, as relating to inventory maintenance.
- Direct supervision to sales staff including training, maintaining quotas, and developing goals.
- Partner with each associate to manage design projects, customer contacts and relationships, sales volume, design consultant effectiveness and overall customer satisfaction.
- Will work to find fair & honorable solutions for clients with service or quality issues, while maintaining professionalism, integrity and respect.
- Analyze data to identify sales opportunities.
- Review of all sales invoices on a daily & weekly basis.
- Ability to generate creative ideas and implement these ideas to the sales staff to increase overall performance.
- Demonstrates strong leadership abilities, product knowledge (rugs, furniture, accessories, fabrics, lighting, art, etc.) along with excellent customer interface, connection and closing skills.
- Perform opening and closing duties as directed by management.
- Maintains a deep talent bench by continuously developing internal talent and attracting external talent.
- Recommend and initiate changes with guidance from the Gallery Leader, as needed, to improve overall customer service.
- Coach sales team members on the proper behaviors needed to enhance our customer experience and drive sales results.
- Communicate and coordinate with the sales team and Operations Manager to ensure receipt and delivery of product to customers.
- Maintain standards of safety and security in relation to loss prevention.
