Job Description

As the Sales Representative for New Construction projects, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the commercial roofing market across the country. Your expertise in sales, industry knowledge, and ability to build strong customer relationships will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our footprint in the national New Construction sector.

Responsibilities

  1. Business Development:

    • Proactively prospect and identify New Construction opportunities within the commercial roofing market on a national scale.

    • Conduct thorough research and lead generation to target potential clients in key markets.

    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and sales opportunities.

  2. Client Consultation and Needs Analysis:

    • Collaborate with potential clients to understand their New Construction roofing needs, requirements, and project timelines.

    • Provide expert guidance and recommendations on roofing systems, materials, and construction methods.

    • Conduct site visits and project assessments to tailor solutions to each client's specific project needs.

  3. Sales Presentations and Proposals:

    • Deliver compelling sales presentations that showcase our New Construction capabilities, expertise, and successful project portfolio.

    • Prepare detailed and customized proposals, aligning them with clients' specific project requirements and budgets.

    • Address client inquiries, concerns, and objections with accurate and timely responses.

  4. Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and support.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing their roofing-related inquiries promptly.

    • Establish long-term partnerships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.

  5. Sales Strategies and Targets:

    • Collaborate with the sales team and sales management to develop and implement effective sales strategies for New Construction projects.

    • Set ambitious sales targets for New Construction sales on a national scale and track progress toward achieving them, adjusting strategies as needed.

    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities to remain competitive.

  6. Networking and Industry Events:

    • Represent the company at national industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our New Construction capabilities.

    • Participate in relevant associations and organizations to expand your professional network and identify potential clients and industry partners.

  7. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales progress in the CRM system.

    • Prepare regular reports and updates for sales management, providing insights into sales performance and activities.

  8. Additional Responsibilities:

    • Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in the commercial roofing industry, with a focus on New Construction projects.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business opportunities.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing products, materials, and construction methods for New Construction projects.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Team player attitude is a must.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients on a national level.

  • Customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong drive for success.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales-related tools.

  • Ability to travel extensively on a national scale as required.
