Job Description
Summary
Represents Schuler and leads the account management efforts to assigned automotive customer accounts. Product portfolio includes new equipment and service products, including modernizations, rebuilds, upgrades, retrofits, parts and service.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for sales and business development for all Schuler products with assigned customer accounts
- Coordinates sales and business development activities with the Director of OEM Accounts, the Schuler Incorporated/BCN team, as well as with other Schuler affiliates in Germany, Mexico and Brazil, and divisions as needed, including strategic and operational sales work.
- Acts as primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts in the NAFTA Market.
- Provides market intelligence to Schuler organization, including market developments, trends, customer requirements and information, and activities of competitors.
- Use and regular updates of applicable software and reporting files, including CRM, project tracking files, customer satisfaction surveys, social media in line with company regulations and requirements.
- Supports all Schuler product lines by maintaining thorough product knowledge.
- Participates and/or leads technology and product presentations in cooperation with relevant departments, affiliates, and divisions for customers. Attends trade shows and events. Works closely together with Marketing to develop customer and market specific workshops and specific training events.
- Maintains and develops business contacts and relationships, in support of all Schuler products.
- Managing the information interface between Schuler, customers and the market including:
- Promoting Schuler’s products
- Collecting and directing market intelligence
- Identifying opportunities
- Evaluating and processing RFQ’s
- Leading the RFQ response and quotation process
- Coordinating all relevant technical and commercial aspects
- Completion of quotations, participates in subsequent clarification and negotiations process, supports to streamline relevant information in order to maximize Schuler’s chances.
- Leads contract review and internal handover of orders, as well as continues to engage in the purchase order change process as required.
- Maintains strict observance of and compliance with Schuler’s company policy.
- Participate with the Director of OEM Accounts, Controlling and Schuler Divisions to prepare annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, and three (3) to five (5) years of related Sales and Product experience.
- Strong knowledge of the press forming equipment market, including companies, technologies, applications and capabilities.
- New capital equipment sales, preferably in the metal stamping industry
- Project Management Experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, sales, presentation, and negotiations skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings.

- Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Possess strong analytical aptitude.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

- German and/or Portuguese Language skills would be a plus.
- Visa holders/English as Second Language (ESL) individuals must take TOEFL exam and score above passing grade.
