he Process Industries Key Account Manager (KAM) will manage a portfolio of accounts exclusively within a geographic area, with responsibilities for overall leadership in specific sub-market(s). The major accountabilities of this new role are to:
Aggressively prospect at new customers to uncover new opportunities, and close profitable business in alignment with market plan.
Penetrate existing accounts to uncover and close profitable new business opportunities.
Develop/advance longer-term business opportunities 2-4 years out.
Develop relationships w/key decision makers/influencers at accounts while engaging technical decision makers early in program/part development.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of quality new and existing business opportunities across all plants and achieve forecasted new business and bookings goals in line with plant specific goals.
Effective daily use of tools/processes (eQuiry leads, pipeline, proposals) to communicate strategy and progress towards stated goals. Develop Account Plans (MAPs) and communicate via Key Call Summaries (KCSs) as agreed upon with Market Development Manager.
Develop a market plan for a specified (TBD) sub-market, and coordinate activities among (3-person Process Industry team to increase sales/market share.
This position serves as the primary face-to-face contact between our company and our customers. Frequent travel to support existing customers and establish relationships with potential customers is required. The KAM is responsible for planning and executing activities to profitably grow sales. This includes analysis of marketing information and leads, exploration of prospects, calls on existing and potential customers, planning customer visits and presentations and coordinating resources in support of those sales efforts.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should be a self-starter with documented success selling to key customers and contacts within related market(s). 2-4 years of experience in the sale of engineered metal solutions and cast products to the industrial market and related industries is preferred. This person should have a proven track record of generating new business and new customers, building strong relationships and be able to communicate knowledgeably with customers and staff on technical issues. Professional appearance, as well as excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
