The Sales Directorwill work closely with Monogram Foods Memphis Support Center to contribute to Monogram Foods’ Mission, Vision, and Values by maximizing long-term and short-term goals with our retailer partners. The Sales Directorwill own Buyer/Replenishment Buyer relationships then translate this “voice of customer” into actionable tactics, including proactive recommendations on product assortment and replenishment tactics to enhance sales. The Sales Directorwill support the execution of sales plans focused on delivering volume, revenue, and profitability goals. The Sales Directorwill also take a leadership role on making proactive Replenishment recommendations to the customer such as: adequate in stock levels, everyday shelf price, ongoing deduction management to advance cost avoidance and supports replenishment efforts accordingly to help drive sales at the customer level.
This position can be remote yet could require up to 35% travel to the National Accounts + Memphis HDQ.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and lead the development of new business opportunities that improve product mix and consumer exposure.
- Lead and have accountability for forecasting and business planning activities that establish budget, volume, and profit targets.
- Manage adjustments to sales P&L in response to fluctuations within appropriate commodity markets and cost inputs that impact customer pricing.
- Act like a Category Captain: Serve as consultative, collaborative subject matter expert to establish sales plans, leveraging consumer insights, historical data, market data, industry trends to build future growth plans.
- Develop and deliver on brand priorities that establish and manage volume, market share, revenue targets, and profit targets to ensure growth across the category portfolio.
- Serve as strategic partner to customer stakeholders with a focus on elevating our presence and maintaining a keen eye on growth opportunities across the different sales categories.
- Drives internal cross-functional collaboration to effectively build consensus upwards, downwards, and laterally within the organization.
Education & Experience:
- >10 years of sales experience including broker management and experience with Top National Accounts (Aldi, Kroger, other).
- Experienced in a top-tier consumer products and/or food and beverage company. Dry Grocery Protein Snacks and/or Frozen Foods are significant pluses.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of relevant experience.
Competencies & Skills:
- Demonstrated strong financial acumen, understanding relationships between volume and profit.
- Experienced in developing, managing, and leading Private Label RFPs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Utilize syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) to create fact based selling solutions for customers.
- Demonstrated impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities across the customer landscape.
- Adept with using Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Must be over 18 years old.
