Job Description
Position Summary:
As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for establishing, developing and expanding Employer Group, Broker, and TPA relationships following the organization's mission and vision
This position reaches out to new and existing self-funded groups to help them reduce their medical spending, working with TPA's, Broker channels and Captives throughout the corporate benefits arena. The Sales Director needs to be an expert on self-funding, reference-based pricing, captives, and cost containment to reduce costs and deliver a high-performance health plan.
This position will design and execute the Company's go-to-market strategy in their region, reporting to the VP of Sales. The position will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and management of brokers as well as developing and executing territory cross-selling development strategies. The Sales Director will also work closely with the product team to provide product and pricing feedback to shape the company's future offerings and initiatives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create and implement sales plans that successfully achieve business objectives
- Use available data to accurately forecast sales and set appropriate performance goals
- Develop mutually helpful partnerships with brokers and consultants
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients
- Provides executive leadership and overall direction of activities.
- Representing the Company in meetings with key customers, brokers, and prospective customers.
- Lead timely, accurate, and robust prospect, pipeline, and forecast data
- Meet sales objectives and targets at profitable rates and moves prospects into implementation.
- Meet established sales goals and quota schedule per plan year's objectives and multi-year growth targets.
- Demonstrated capability in handling sophisticated sales cycles from start to finish with a history of successful revenue attainment
- Mentor and learn from sales colleagues and cross-departmental team members

Client Responsibilities
This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written). One must be able to; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients; Manage difficult or emotional client situations.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relative work experience plus 5 years' experience in employee benefit sales or equivalent disciplines ((level-funded, self-funded, stop-loss health plans). Previous experience in sales role with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets. Self-motivated; ability to work successfully without ongoing supervision
