This position requires you to be onsite at our headquarters in Phoenix, AZ 4-days per week, with the ability to work remote 1-day per week.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, Leadership Development will design, implement, and oversee our organization’s Leadership Development programs. They will be responsible for designing training programs and assessing the effectiveness of development initiatives. The Director of Leadership Development will work closely with senior leadership to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and growth. This position will build bold, innovative, and high-impact learning experiences focused on enabling our leaders, teams, and business to develop and grow. The successful leader serves as a strategic partner in a highly visible and influential role, first seeking to understand business needs and then quickly build highly productive and impactful solutions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, elevates and implements a comprehensive Leadership Development training strategy that aligns with our organization values and company initiatives.

  • Maintains and provides ongoing oversight for the leader development roadmap.

  • Leads and manages a team responsible for delivery of development initiatives for new, experienced and high potential leaders.

  • Prioritizes critical skill gap areas for leaders and coordinates with Learning team to develop new content to meet organizational needs.

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of leadership training programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics. Monitors and assesses the performance of programs, making continual adjustments necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Focuses on building of an intentionally developed, diverse leader pipeline bench.

  • Utilizes a variety of learning methodologies, including workshops, coaching, e-learning, and on-the-job experiences, to facilitate Leadership Development.

  • Partners with HR to integrate leader development initiatives into talent management processes, including succession planning and performance management.

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on Leadership Development matters and contribute to strategic planning efforts.

  • Fosters a culture of continuous learning and development, promoting opportunities for career growth within the organization.

  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, concepts, and techniques for delivering high quality developmental experiences to diverse audiences.

  • Manages Leader Development budget and resources efficiently.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with demonstrated ability to solve complex and ambiguous business problems leveraging data analysis and modeling.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills at all levels, with the ability to create, interpret and summarize data to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience leading cross-disciplinary, cross-functional projects to drive business process change affecting multiple business units.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong understanding of leadership theories, models, and best practices in Leadership Development.

  • Knowledge and experience in strategic succession planning.

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire audiences.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years progressive experience in learning and development, organizational development, or talent management.

  • Proven ability to create and implement impactful development solutions in a complex organization.
